I saw photos of several different flags during training United States.
American colonies The original flag was the flag of the Union of the United Kingdom in the upper left [side] Personal flag with thirteen stripes red and white, one for each of the thirteen original colonies. Sometime during c1775/1776 an American lady, the name of Betsy Ross, cut the flag of the Union and sewn in Thira white stars on a blue background in a circle. Then there was the battle standard American Revolution.
