Sing simple quadratic GED
Let me introduce you to Simple. Simple has often been accused of being simplistic, but it is not! As simple as things will not be easy.
The quadratic formula can have more than one correct answer. The company has more than half get the solution. In math class GED-I used a unique method to allow students to find alternative methods to that I teach. Simple like that is enough to remember a formula or an equation.
ax2 + bx + c = 0 is the quadratic formula
2×2 + 4x -30 = 0 is a formula valid quadratic whose answer is -5 and 3.
The values in the formula are:

a = 2
-
b = 4
-
c = -30
Simple solution general equation:
x = (-b ± sqrt (b 2 – 4ac)) ÷ 2a
x1 = (-4 – sqrt (240 + 16)) ÷ 4 = (-4 -16) ÷ 4 = -20 ÷ 4 = -5
x2 = (-4 + sqrt (16 240)) ÷ 4 = (-4 + 16) ÷ 4 = 12 ÷ 4 = 3
X1 and X2 are 2 possible answers. Remember the rule of signs. In the remainder of the b x1. In x2 I added to the b-. Use a calculator if you have a square root.
A mnemonic device I use is: inus b M more or less bm the square root of four squares halved inus ac a.

You can sing well (to the tune of Jingle Bells), even Pop Goes the Weasel:
X equals (Jingle Bells)

A! (Sleigh!)
If you sing twice, you hate me, never forget the formula of solution. I want to emphasize that mathematics can be used mnemonic to songs. The pictures are a good way to remember the mathematical steps. Enter twice to fix them properly in your memory.
For some people x1 and x2 is the hiding place.
1x + -4 = 0 has an answer -4 or 1.
