Can I put a relaxer in my hair over a permanent wave?
I had a permanent wave put in months ago, I dont want the curls anymore, can I use a relaxer to get rid of them? Can I mix a relaxer over a permanent wave?
No. You’ll either have to cut off the permed hair or wait for it to grow out. Perming on top of it will just cause it to fall out. You’ll just have to blow it out or use a straightening iron for now. Talk to your hairstylist. Good luck.
P.S.- Relaxers are generally for very curly or kinky hair. If your hair is naturally straight it won’t help you.
