A Woman's French Foly

Right ahead, we must say that it is far from a new piece on strike. And more likely to be little interest takes into account that the roll call are the ones that are familiar to the French, or French ex-patriots, Francophiles, Francophones and French fans.

Again, some of which have a resonance in the world, so forgive indulgence. And if you're at all curious keep reading to discover the history a cheerful good evening spent watching a show that had the audience proverbially "rolling in the aisles," screaming with laughter and smiles from ear to ear more than two hours.

Okay, probably a very close, won and who came to see the launch of a very particular type of exposure individual. Or perhaps more accurately a one-man show, performed by Liane Foly.

She is no stranger to the French, and as a singer is 45 years old was his name over the years, he released his first album in 1988 and followed by a series of visits and the occasional appearance in films made for television.

But in his one-man show "La Folle parenthesis" Foly made his first real business in another area of entertainment in its entirety in a copycat and she professional is brilliant.

She collects some of the main – past and present – of the French musical scene, with some international artists thrown in for good measure with politicians, TV stars and actresses.

The 19th Century Theatre Marigny just off the Champs Elysees in Paris, with a capacity over 1000 was full every night of the recent opening Foly run as he sang, strutted, croaked and danced her way through more than 30 characters, inserting their performance with tweezers spirit and social commentary and political evil.

Whether as a parody of the French first lady Carla Bruni faint-Sarkozy, or a majestically strutting Socialist politician Segolene Royal, Foly slipped effortlessly from one imitation to another with a minimum of costume changes, no gimmicks, and a mimic simple gestures to convince the public that actually brought a cast of characters.

Accompanied by only two players – the pianist Jean Yves D'Angelo and his brother, Peter, saxophone and percussion – Foly presents an argument for keeping things simple.

He joked as gravel voice actresses Muriel Robin and Renaud Line, and later as Celine Dion in her rapid-fire French, with the imaginary Pedro somewhere in the back of the theater.

Peter wanted offer a possible alignment of the stars for a cabaret unlikely that the next night in Saint-Etienne, a town of less fashionable in central eastern France, perhaps better known as the former capital of the bicycle industry and country football team in the 1960s and 70s dominated the French league.

A place likely for some big names past and present the world of French music and cinema, and certainly not a place for international stars as the head of its list of show dates.

The play, Foly used the hearing "as a vehicle for satire, political commentary, social and bands good songs – Do not leave the public to forget that not only have a song like Foly, she can do as a host of others.

In France Gall sang conifers as French and Sylvie Vartan, she flounces about the stage, rocking a microphone and turning away on his wanderings beautiful blonde hair

Actress Jeanne Moreau growled, the English-born wife, the late Serge Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin, sang a tribute to her beloved husband and very French accent, Canada is very clean Mylène Farmer intentionally left everyone wondering exactly what he sang so stupidly, did a pirouette across the stage and ethereal music had mocked incomprehensibility. Madonna has a touch of S & M for a change.

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy flirted with the pianist, as if he were the embodiment of "Nicholas" and the strains of the Marseillaise and applause last year walking defeated Socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal, promising not to speak policy and then proceed to do so.

In the mix Foly threw Christophe Willem – a former winner of American Idol French response and the voice of music producer Orlando.

After performing non-stop for a little over two hours, Foly recall was conducted inevitable, but very welcome to operate as two music icons French is not all – Barbara and Dalida.

And then, when you thought nothing could be more, very clean and often dressed inappropriately meteorologist Dippy television in France 50-something, Catherine Laborde, came to give an update on the weather will be tomorrow night ahead of us "real" performance.

Foly Run for the sumptuous Theatre Marigny in Paris to end the weekend and now his show on the road across the country to the rest of years – meet again in the French capital in December for a recall at the Olympia.

If one of the names listed here are important to you, and you are planning a trip to France at some point this year, is an act – or a multitude of them – would be advised not to miss.
