Pin’s and needle pain in the cervix?
I’m 34 weeks and for the past couple weeks I have been experiencing a sort of pins and needle pain in my vaginal area, I assume the pain is in my cervix. Is that normal? Does it mean that I am starting to dilate or efface or something? I’m not sure but last night it was pretty bad, is that the pain I will have when I go in to labor and if so I can only imagine it that same pain x’s 10… OMG!!
(This is my first baby as you can probably tell :0)
the pins and needle feeling in your vaginal area means that your baby is starting or continuing to drop in to your cervix. this usually happens 2-4weeks before labor begins and these pains do go away within a week or two but you will definitely feel random ones when your baby moves their head while being dropped in your cervix.
i felt these pains at 32weeks and at my 34wk check-up i was already dialated to 1 1/2cm. i’m now almost 36 wks and 2 1/2cm dialated and i’ll only sometimes feel the little stings.
