James Gang Rides Again Rock Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Rock group James Gang have released their CD entitled Rides Again. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe James Gang fans, and Rock fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Rides Again their artistic excellence is on full display as they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be their best work to date.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it’s own.

One of the nicer things about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Rock isn’t your favorite style you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness of the musicians.

Overall Rides Again is outstanding from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A Must Have for the Rock fan. Really sensational from beginning to end.

While the entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 5 – Tend My Garden, track 7 – There I Go Again, and track 9 – Ashes The Rain And I

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Funk #49. Outstanding!

The Music Man (1957 Original Broadway Cast) [Angel Reissue]

$5.57

Although Robert Preston and Barbara Cook put in stellar performances, it’s the music that’s the star of this hugely successful document of the 1958 Broadway smash. Written entirely by Meredith Willson, it drew from memories of his childhood in a small Midwestern town. Preston plays a traveling salesman/con artist, while Cook is the dull spinster “Marian the Librarian,” whose love for Preston’s cha…

Unlike many silent screen comedians, Laurel & Hardy made a seamless transition to talkies, and this TCM Archives double-feature showcases some of their funniest work from the early 1930s. As always, TCM/Warner has packaged this must-have set for true film buffs: The prints are pristine, image quality is crisp and clean, sound quality is the best available (allowing for some hiss and minor drop-off…

Buuny Years: Inside the Playboy Empire [VHS]

$19.95

The Playboy Clubs, a chain of plush members-only joints that flourished in the 1960s, epitomized the sexy, affluent lifestyle promoted in Hugh Hefner’s high class men’s magazine Playboy, but that’s only half the story. “We weren’t waitresses, we were Bunnies,” explains one former employee in the made-for-cable documentary The Bunny Years, a unique slant on the short-lived Playboy Club empire. The …

James Clavell’s heartfelt film of paradise found and lost in the midst of the bloody Thirty Years War, a senseless religious conflict long since degenerated into a rabble of looters preying on peasants, is a triumph of passion over style. Michael Caine stars as the Captain, a happily tolerant leader whose army of mercenaries, a mix of Protestants and Catholics, murders, pillages, and rapes side by…
