What Ramones album should i start out with?
Alright, I’ve heard that the Ramones are pretty much the original Punk Band. But they have like 10 albums out and I don’t know which one to get! I don’t believe in Greatest Hits compilations because they just showcase the band’s most popular hits without getting a feel of the flow of the album. And also sometimes, it’s not best to hear the albums chronologically, as it may be harder to get into their “sound” in the beginning when it was unpolished. Such as if I were to recommend a Weezer album to someone I would start off with Green then Maladroit then Blue then Make Believe then Pinkerton. (Going in order from their most accesible album to their most deep album) So can you guys help me out?
Start at the beginning….”Ramones” or “Leave Home”.
There were 14 studio albums.
In the case of Ramones, chronological order is a good thing. Their sound barely changed from beginning to end…if anything, they got worse. But, they are my favorite band of all-time, so even the bad stuff is great.
