Would you suggest me any songs by Sarah Brightman in opera style?
I love her when she vocalizing her voice like the end of her duet with Michael Crawford. “The phantom of the opera”.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Yahoo.
Try her CD ‘Classics’ ( http://www.epinions.com/review/pr-Classics_Sarah_Brightman_Music/content_407797927556 ). There are a few operatic arias included in that album, though they are rearranged and transposed.
Added later – exasperatedly –
of course Sarah Brightman isn’t an opera singer. But at the same time why can’t opera/classical fans appreciate the fact that she is drawing new audience to the genre who wouldn’t have cared to give it a go otherwise?
These crossover singers aren’t the enemy! Once people have tried their stuff and then looking into other real opera/classical singers I’m sure that their hearing is good enough to discern the difference and that many (if not most) will graduate on to bona fide opera/classical stuff soon enough.
And even if they don’t, at least their patronage is paying for the classical musicians in the orchestra and recording business to keep going. No harm done. We should be embracing new points of entry into this music genre rather than boohooing them just because they aren’t hardcore enough for established ears.

The Phantom of the Opera [Blu-ray] $8.59 Although it’s not as bold as Oscar darling Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera continues the resuscitation of the movie musical with a faithful adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster stage musical. Emmy Rossum glows in a breakout role as opera ingénue Christine Daae, and if phantom Gerard Butler isn’t Rossum’s match vocally, he does convey menace and sensuality in such numbers as “The Musi… |

Repo! The Genetic Opera $7.32 Likening Repo! The Genetic Opera to its predecessors, Little Shop of Horrors and Rocky Horror Picture Show, conveys this film’s high camp and operatic bursts of song, but does little to describe how absolutely bizarre Repo! is. Like Rocky Horror, Repo! was written for stage performance by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich, who stars as a Graverobber, dolled up in vampiric makeup to resemble… |

The Phantom of the Opera (2004 Movie Soundtrack) $6.44 For better or worse, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s adaptation of Gaston Leroux’s gothic horror/romance novel has done for stage musicals what Spielberg’s Jaws did for fish stories, with worldwide sales of its original cast album approaching 25 million. While director Joel Schumacher’s film turns on his typically ambitious visual verve, its new film soundtrack recording has been paradoxically focused in sc… |
