Athletics events, what is the best material to use on the discuss / shot put circles?
A granite, sand & cement (strong mix) has been used & trowel float finished.
After a couple of weeks in use the finish has been worn off due to the constant friction of spinning, etc.
Does anyone suggest a harder finish?
I was tinking of maybe a 2 part epoxy/resin, but would that be too slippy?

I believe the basic surfaces are some sort of synthetic rubber (12mm) sprayed on concrete. Here’s a couple of professional suppliers for Europe and US which may help for ideas:
