How is the best way to travel Europe on a tight budget?
All my life I’ve wanted to travel to other countries, meet people, experience other cultures, and see historical buildings, etc. Now I have a chance to go to Europe. I will arrive in Copenhagen by ship in May of this year. I hope to see many european countries. So far, I have a plane ticket from Copenhagen to Berlin, and then to Rome.
Once I get to Rome, I have no exact plans for further travel. Where will be the best places to go to next? Any suggestions for places to go, ways to get there, places to stay will be greatly appreciated. If you live in Europe and work at a cafe or museum or some other public place, maybe I can stop and say hello ! !
I plan to stay at campgrounds and hostels as much as possible.
Do you think it will be safe to hitch hike? I will be traveling with only one piece of luggage. I sort of think my final destination will be Dublin, and from there back to the U.S. Thank you for taking the time to help me with your suggestions.
