The Island of Lesvos – often referred to as Lesbos – is an obvious choice for lesbian travelers where they can explore Sappho’s birthplace, take romantic strolls along pristine beaches, experience a hydrotherapy spa treatment, people watch over ouzo at a sidewalk café and indulge in the friendly women-centered nightlife. Of historical importance to the lesbian community and always filled with lesbian travelers, Lesvos is a must-see for women on vacation to Greece.
As a country, Greece is rather traditional and religious; however, Greece is a hotspot for vacations and travelers will find a warm, welcoming atmosphere in most parts of the country. Visiting Greece as part of an organized travel group is a wonderful way to take in all that Greece has to offer and to experience LGBT life in Greece while on your vacation.
