How can i dry a painting with oil paints?
I’ve mixed a little linseed oil with paints and the painting keeps smudging? how can i clean my paintbrushes with the oil paints? this is the first time i’ve used oils, i usually use acrylics. heelpp!
does it make a difference that i added linseed oil? will it make it dry slower? Can i use a blow dryer to dry?
Linseed oil will slow the drying time. Turpentine or white spirit will thin the paint and reduce drying time. Putting the painting somewhere warm may speed up the time for it to be “touch dry”, but for a thick oil painting to be completely dry can take months.
